Third Postion GC Skew Display is a tool designed for predicting genes by comparing possible open reading frames to a third position GC plot. This tool is most effective in organisms with GC rich genomic sequence but it also works on all microbial sequences. Insert a nucleotide sequence below and click "Generate Plot" to analyze the sequence for open reading frames and third position GC skew. If sequence is longer than 2500 bp it is recommend that you submit the sequence through the file option. (adapted from Ishikawa, J. and Hotta, K. (1999) FEMS Microbiol. Lett. 174:251-253 )
